Description: A square paper name tag inside a yellow plastic sleeve with a safety pin attached to the back and a black nylon cord for hanging around the neck. The name tag has “EDDIE HUNTER” written in blue ink at the top, a logo along the left-hand side, and “duMAURIER INTERNATIONAL / FEB. 27-28 / MARCH 1 / PHOTOG.” throughout the rest. The name tag was most likely for the 1968 Du Maurier International World Cup Event, a skiing competition held partially in British Columbia and partially in Quebec.

Description: A crudely carved figure of a woman (Madonna) and child on a base carved out of one piece of hardwood. The woman’s head is about one-third the size of her body. She has hair to her chin and has closed eyes and mouth. Her left arm/hand is placed on the front of the child who is carved out of the front of her body, his head just under her breasts. He is about two-thirds the size of the woman’s body, has closed eyes and mouth, and has his right arm in front of his body, under his mother’s hand. The woman appears to be wearing a two-piece long garment; the child has carved legs and his feet are resting on the base. The piece is signed on the bottom of the base by the maker carving out “H. Poirion”.

The photograph is framed in a narrow oak frame with carved dot trim along the edge, a split wood backing, one screw eye and hanging wire, and scraps of brown backing paper are attached.

The slit neck is bound with soft leather, and there is leather fringe at the ends of the sleeve sections. There is wrapped fringe along the bottom edges at the front and back. The beading is done on canvas in a lazy stitch.
