Coin has bust of a man in a bison hair and horn headdress with “BANFF CANADA” above “KIWANIS DOLLAR” below and “expires sept 30. 69” on either side. Obverse is partly obscured by mounting hardware but reads “INDIAN DAYS” at top and “1889-1969 VALUE ONE DOLLAR IN BANFF” at bottom.

- Fonds consists of extensive interview with Norman H. Brewster, pioneer of ski mountaineering in the Selkirk and Rocky Mountains. Brewster came to Field, British Columbia in 1929, and thereafter was a Canadian Pacific Railway employee at Field and Glacier, B.C. for many years. Accounts of his ski mountaineering trips and expeditions, most with mountaineer A. A. McCoubrey, appear in the Canadian Alpine Journal. Brewster was a member of the Alpine Club of Canada, 1939-1953.
