- History / Biographical
- Edward Milkis (1931 - 1996) was a film and television producer. Milkis was best known for his work with the original "Star Trek" series (1968 - 1969), and other TV shows such as "The Brady Bunch" (1969 - 1972), "Laverne & Shirley" (1976 - 1983) and "Happy Days" (1974 - 1984). Milkis was also the producer for multiple films, including "Silver Streak" (1976) starring Gene Wilder, Richard Pryor and Jill Clayburgh. Nicholas Morant was involved with "Silver Streak" while he took action shots of the cast and photos of the train segment of the film set, while working for the Canadian Pacific Railway company as their Special Photographer (much of the filming took place aboard a Canadian Pacific train, explaining Morant's involvement). It is likely Milkis and Morant became acquainted while working on the set of "Silver Streak" together.

- Framed letter written by Nicholas Morant addressed to TV and Film Producer Edward Milkis following the creation of film "Silver Streak" (1976). Letter is typed, with "BULL SHIT!" stamped multiple times across front. Also includes Nicholas Morant's professional stamp and satirical illustration by Morant of unidentified creature. Signed "Marantz" on bottom (an inside joke which Morant usually applied to gag letters and notes for friends and colleagues). Response letter (signed) from Edward Milkis typed onto paper with "Silver Streak" film logo is attached to back, dated July 30, 1976 .

- The Film "Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson", was filmed in 1975 and released in 1976. The film was directed by Robert Altman and co-written by Robert Altman and Alan Rudolph. Key stars in the film include Paul Newman (Buffalo Bill), Frank Kaquitts (Sitting Bull), Joel Grey (The Producer), and Kevin McCarthy (The Publicist). Other actors include Harvey Keitel, Allan F. - The Film "Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson", was filmed in 1975 and released in 1976. The film was directed by Robert Altman and co-written by Robert Altman and Alan Rudolph. Key stars in the film include Paul Newman (Buffalo Bill), Frank Kaquitts (Sitting Bull), Joel Grey (The Producer), and Kevin McCarthy (The Publicist). Other actors include Harvey Keitel, Allan F. Nicholls, Geraldine Chaplin, John Considine, Fred N. Larsen, Pat McCormick and Burt Lancaster. The movie was filmed on location at the Stoney Nakoda reservation in Morley, Alberta, and many of the film extras were from this community. Stoney Nakoda Chief Frank Kaquitts (Sitting Wind) played the role of Sitting Bull

- The Luxton house at 206 Beaver Street was built circa 1905 and was home to Banff's Luxton family for 90 years. On the death of Eleanor Luxton in 1995, ownership of the home passed to the newly created Eleanor Luxton Historical Foundation. The Foundation now manages the property, as well as its neighbouring historic homes, Tanglewood and Beaver Lodge. The Luxton Home is an accredited museum.
