Contains 63 photographs (9 colour, 56 b&w) pertaining to photography by and featuring Nicholas and Ivy "Willie" Morant, with typed captions and notes to Nicholas Morant by Canadian Pacific staff. Contains two pages of signatures by staff members, a hand-drawn illustration, and a birthday card to Nicholas signed by Willie (n.d.).

Physical Description: 5 Photographs: framed prints; b&w and colour

Scope & Content: File consists of 5 framed photographic prints. Content pertains to various railway scenes: one image of a steam train taken close-up with black tape secured around the edges; one image of a train turning a corner with a mountain in the background, in a gold-painted frame with an engraved border design; and 2 steam-pressed photographs on cork bases (one depicting a b&w photograph taken by Nicholas Morant in 1938 of a train at a set of signal lights with a forest, mountains and lake in the background, and one depicting a colour image of a train travelling through a rocky pass in the early morning (?) with a body of water on its left). Also consists of one b&w portrait of Nicholas Morant as a teenager, dressed formally, with a grey metal frame and raised 'bubble-shaped' glass front.

Notes: Item V500 / III / D / 4 / PC - 3 is very similar to a photograph by Ivy 'Willie' Morant (print labelled and stored as V500 / I / C1 / 6 / PA - 28 ).

Content pertains to a colour photograph of Lake O'Hara (showing a mountain/forest scene reflecting in the water), signed by Nicholas Morant and dated 1940; one colour photograph of "Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia" signed by Morant and dated 1945; and one colour photograph of Moraine Lake featuring a female model posing by a lakeside log cabin (no date, unsigned).

Notes: Prints in this file were originally stored individually in large frames, but were removed for storage and conservation reasons. "Peggy's Cove" print's original frame had an attached auction tag which read as follows: "HALL'S AUCTION SERVICES Ltd." "CONSIGNOR DFB 7172 (2) LOT # 460 (2)
