A roughly carved wooden horse standing atop a very rough and weathered piece of wood which has been sawed off at one end. Horse is angular and flat on the sides with slight carving at the edges to give form, with the head and tail completely carved around.

Thick leather fold-over purse decorated with four rows of brass tacks curved arond a cross at the centre of the top flap. Back of purse has a 2.5 cm wide leather strap for slipping belt through. Tag printed with “ALBERTA STONEY INDIAN HAND CRAFTS MORLEY - ALBERTA” with a teepee and symbols. The reverse of the tag has CRW's writing: "Purse for belt belonged to Edwin Dixons mother - Belt he wore & is worn out Mina Lefthand - blind since he was 7."
