- Rough sketch of the 1949 Christmas card. Scene depicts what looks like Norquay in the background, their home, and animals coming to and from the cabin. On the top edge “SEASONS GREETINGS 1949” and on the bottom edge “CATHARINE AND PETER,” and “Peter Whyte” can be read. Near the TLC different dimensions are written out: “4 3/8 x 6 3/4” (above 6 3/4 there is a faint 6/8 written), “2 4 1/2 3 3/8,” “4 3/8 x 1 1/2.”verso: there is another rough sketch of the same scene seen on the the front side of the paper.
