Description
Hand thrown, trimmed footed, urn shaped, lidded vessel. Dominant blue enamel, ground with cloisonne and multi-coloured enamel design of garden and four butterflies. Green black yellow border decoration at base and scrolled yellow border at rim. Domed lid which has previously been mended with two staples. Lid decoration geometric flower, and lid sits over jar rim. Calligraphy on jar base and calligraphy label inside lid. The lid would have been repaired after all firing was completed and label affixed at same time.
