Lid French Canadian rural scene with man in horse drawn sleigh. Torn sticker that was removed indicated Canadian manufacture. Dark stain at horse's head. Carved on lid is "Ardin"(?)

On lid: 2 Chinese lions, one white, one black - playfully fighting,underside of lid and tray, they are resting, in base peony, handles also peony in brass. Mauve cord passes through handles.
