- Section of tree mounted on rustic plaque, "J L" "JU 5 1876 AD". Bark forms frame around scar baring wood of the tree and bearing the deeply carved letters, plaque behind is single, thick plank of wood, beveled along the edges in a wide (3.7) band. Band textured with a pattern of fingertip depressions, tree blaze cut off square at top and bottom, but curves back into plaque at sides. Back of plaque reveals it is actually two planks skillfully joined, with 3 small knotholes, and 2 holes drilled through at opposite,diagonal corners holding deeply set screws which attach the blaze. At centre top is small, metal mounting plate with upside-down keyhole, and hole drilled through wood behind (for hanging plaque) front of plaque and bark of blaze have been shellacked, penciled mounting plate, "T".

- A metal 24 ounce measuring jug with handle. The measuring jug has a slight lip for easy pouring. The scale has been inscribed on the inside of the measuring jug and contains both ounces and cubic centimeters or milliliters symbolized by “c.c.” The scale representing ounces begins at 2 ounces and increases in 2 ounce increments to 24 ounces. The cubic centimeter scale begins at 100 c.c. and increases in increments of 100 c.c. to 700 c.c. and then by 50 c.c. more to 750. The bottom of the measuring jug has an inscription that reads: “Vollrath” in cursive writing followed by “STAINLESS STEEL WARE” “8324” all in upper case letters. Vollrath is a manufacturer of stainless steel and aluminum parts and products for food service and custom uses.

- Tintype in wooden case. Case covered with brown coated paper. Front and back covers feature architectural and vegetal design in relief. The inside cover features a design debossed in red velvet. The tintype is framed in a brass coloured, decorative metal mat. A small piece of paper is found loose in the case that reads “Margaret Pyncheon daughter of Dr. Joseph Pyncheon of Boston. Our Great Grandmother.”

- Deterioration and damage to negatives is as follows: V683 / V / A / NG - 6: Orange/brown stain on top centre edge. Possibly mold? Minimal flaking around edges. V683 / V / C / NG - 34: The emulsion is actively peeling in the upper right corner of the slide. The emulsion on the left side of the slide looks as if it was either processed incorrectly at the time of creation, or that the emulsion has separated from the glass and shrunk creating crease lines. There is flaking along the top border of the slide. An orange accretion is present along the top edge and in the top right corner edges. This is possibly mold on the emulsion, or it may be from another source. V683 / V / C / NG - 36: The emulsion is actively peeling across the surface of the slide. An orange accretion is present along the right edge. This is possibly mold on the emulsion, or it may be from another source. V683 / V / C / NG - 38: An orange accretion is present along the top edge. This is possibly mold on the emulsion, or it may be from another source. There is also a set of initials scratched into the emulsion in the bottom left corner. The initials read “R.H.B.” backwards. V683 / V / C / NG - 42: An orange stain is present in the top right corner. This is possibly mold on the emulsion, or it may be from another source. There are also two spots where the emulsion has lifted. Flaking is present around the deteriorated areas. V683 / V / C / NG - 47: An accretion is present in the top left corner. The accretion is an orange ring with a reddish spot in the centre. It appears to be fibrous? There is also an emulsion chip in the centre left. V683 / V / C / NG - 49: Evidence of blue (pen?) in four spots in the center of the image in areas where there has been a loss of emulsion. V683 / V / C / NG - 53: Orange staining in bottom left corner. Possibly mold? Some flaking along top edge. V683 / V / C / NG - 57: Orange staining in centre left, bottom left, and top right.
