Description: A rectangular wooden box with a hinged lid. The lid has a marquetry image of a woman and child on a dark background. The box is lined with red velvet. The front panel is coming loose, the inlay work is badly damaged, and the lining is faded.

Description: A rectangular, possibly mahogany, box with a hinged lid. A rose design in light-coloured wood inlay is centred on the lid and front panel. The inside is lined with green paper. Dimensions: 9.0 x 28.0 cm

Description: A rectangular wooden, possibly mahogany veneer, box with a hinged lid. There is an inlaid mother of pearl floral rose design on top of the lid and diamond patterned inlay on the edges. A mother of pearl name plate is centred on the top of the lid. The box has a brass lock and other wire inlay. On the underside of the box are the marks “Fred Carey June 15 - 95” and “1898 New York” in pencil, and the name of Carey is written on the bottom seven times in different styles.

Description: Long, black lacquer box with three circular, gold lacquer floral decorations on lid. Lid fits almost entirely over depth of box and is shaped into rounded scallop shape on either side, to leave opening for two circular brass pulls /handles on either side of box itself. With exception of brass handles, box entirely black lacquer. Lacquer has minor chips along base of box and along lid edging.
