Landscape with a tree in the forground left, a spindly branched tree, and a similar shaped one 1/3 the size opposite it to the right. - there is a pond of lake behind these across the center of the frame, and gentle sloping green land further back. - blue sky on the upper 1/3 of the frame with wisps of yellowing/grey clouds across.“A pleasant painting full of tender greens and spring blossoms, this view of an apple orchard, possibly in the Okanagan area, exhibits a moderate impasto effect. Description
Hoodoos tower over what is possibly the Bow River. Three large hoodoos stand on a bluff overlooking the river beyond them. Several more hoodoos are visible further along this same bluff. The area in front of the hoodoos is mainly flat with some rolling to the ground. The river flows through the watercolour, the larger hoodoos partly blocking the the visibility of the river. Coniferous trees are seen below the hoodoos along the river. Everything is painted in soft washes of sand, green and blue.
