Description: This mountain scene with lots of paint texture stretches across a large canvas with the predominant, stylistically blocky mountains taking up the upper 2/3 of the work. The two mountains on the bottom right and left sides of this mountain range are a dark blue grey, and as the mountains receed they become lighter and lighter almost melding with the sky. The bottom third of the work is comprised of a lake, and surrounding land. The lake is cropped by the edge on the right side. Surrounding the lake on the top, left side, and bottom is green land and rocks. This land on the left side juts into the lake in a peninsula type formation. A row of evergreens divide this forground portion from the mountains, and stretch from the left side, to 4/5 the way to the right.

Description: A colour landscape photograph. Mountains in the background fill just over half of the photograph. There is a light haze/fog over the mountains. Above the mountain peaks a strip of clear sky is visible. The sun is rising out of frame on viewers right. There are four peaks layering in front of one another and the closest one looks like a hill with trees on it. The bottom half and foreground of the photograph is a placid lake with a faint reflection of the mountains in it. On the horizon line, where the base of the mountains and the lake meet is a thick line of fog running across the photograph. In the bottom right hand corner of the photo, written in black ink, is the title, year and artist signature, “B. Spohr O’Hara ‘78”. They are in a horizontal row on a solid maroon-coloured background. In each of the images a mountain scene is depicted. In the background is a mountain range, the mountains a purple/grey with black and white accents. The sky behind the mountains is a pale baby blue. In the foreground, below the mountains, is a teal blue lake with a burnt orange shoreline with black forest. Nine colours used in the print. Under the print written in pencil is, “4/9 Sixty Dollar Tax View Bill Horne 1991”. On the bottom rhc corner of the print is a silver ink stamp of a Canadian nickel that says, “5 CENTS CANADA 1952”.
