The length of track (81.5) is mounted on a brown, finished, wooden base with a flat, black, plastic plaque in front, "A section of the original Canadian Pacific Transcontinental main line rail of 1883". Track has been sliced off at each end and securely mounted. Cast into side of rail is"CPR.Steel.Krupp.1883.". Rail has been cleaned but shows definite signs of usewith heavy gouge lines along one edge of top and pitting on the sides, theboard is lined with green felt underneath.
