mottled green stone; flying owl feeding 2 young in nest; carved owl has wings outstretched 15.0; body length 9.0; round inlaid eyes; ivory legs stick ca. 0.7; base (11.0x7.0x5.6) has a ledge on which is a nest; 2 holes drilled in nest; hole drilled dexter side; 2 small stone owls with necks outstretched; hole in bottom centre with wood pegs to sit in nest; 8.5 long x 0.3 dia ivory pegs sticks into side of base and bottom of large owl enabling the owl to hover over nest.

Low oval basket has a stone bird's head for a handle. Inside the bottom of the basket is a woven design in red and black. The domed fitted lid has a black strip overall design. The bird's head is nicely shaped with incised eyes and beak. The basket resembles a loon.
