Ladies and cage quilted to create relief. Calligraphy and chop mark on right, obverse plain. Both fans are fabric over bamboo or reed with painted and appliqued designs.

A lone bushy branched tree is in centre of picture, a row of reeds runs through centre of picture, some brown topped houses are to left centre.
