A coarsely hooked rectangular rug with large figure of a thunderbird standing on Haida dragon figure, with light green background. Thunderbird, with face in profile, outspread wings reaching to each of top corners, and stylized face forming body, is worked with traditional ovoid shaped feathers of black, dark red, dark green, and yellow on white body. Beneath bird is long, slightly curved, two-headed dragon (head at each end in profile) with animal face at middle. Rug is hooked with wide (1.5 cm) strips of woolen fabric on burlap backing, and finished with edges wrapped with strips of same woolen fabric.
