(b) tortoise shell comb with silver plated spine, 9.5 x 2.2. (c) a vanity mirror, silver plated handle and backing, decorated with deep relief stamped brass which has been plated, 10.4 x 5.2. (d) a hair brush, matches c, with similar silver plate relief and wooden spine for bristles, 10.7 x 3.5 x 2.5. (e) ivory cuticle stick, 6.5 x 0.6. (f) plastic comb, 8.0 x 2.0; (g) plastic, bristled toothbrush, 5 x 1 x 1.3; (h) handless hair brush, matches (f) in design, pink flower decorations, 6.8 x 1.5 x 1.6. (i) nail buffer of plastic and leather, cream coloured, 4.7 x 1.5 . (j) tortoiseshell hair comb, two tined, crown shaped handle, 6.2 x 2.5. (k) tortoiseshell hair comb, two tined, squared off handle, 5.7 x 1.5 (l) metal hair comb, three tined, twisted metal crown in semi-circle, 3.3 x 3.2. (m) flat mirror, oval shaped, flower, rose, decorated back, 5 x 3.7. (n) puff box with puff, 2.5 dia. x 1.4 h., decorated with rose motif, puff in box of cotton with ring and ribbon, lower part of box is cracked. (o) brass mesh lady's evening bag with brass top brackets, closeable, and swag handle, two imitation coins inside the bag, 3 x 5.5. (p) leather tubular box with flap top snap held, may have had another purpose, but appropriated for (q and r) two pair of doll's spectacles, virtually identical, yellow circular lenses, granny glass like, with tortoiseshell frames and ear pieces, 7.5 x 2.3.

(as, at) two larger compotes of lathe turned wood, perhaps vegetable dishes, flat base, narrow stem, relatively flat serving surface, 1.7 h. x 3.9 d. (au, av) two smaller compotes, flat based narrow stemmed, deep dished 1.3 h. x 2.0 d.(aw) a lathe turned flat, round serving platter, 5.9 d.
