A stone wall is to the right of the temple and behind it is a tree trunk painted in brown with two branches in yellow and green. Framing the image to the right is the beginning of a curved gable that enters into the frame but is discontinued.

Description
This drawing is a stylistically loose portrayal of a mountain scene. This scene is comprised only of mountains and rock - no trees or such other landscape. There is a peak in TLC and the mountain slopes downward to another smaller peak in the TRC. The foreground of the piece is comprised of many loose rocks that are piled on top of one another and recede into the background. The line quality of the drawing in the foreground is much heavier and more detailed than the background. Shading in the piece is done mostly with cross-hatching.

The original pages of the sketchbook seem to have been removed at some point - the book is full of loose pieces of paper, some of which may be original to the sketchbook. Sketches feature figure studies, cars, wildlife, and graded sampler sheets done by Peter as part of his coursework at the Boston School of Fine Art.
