- A set of two commemorative pins from Japan plus a chain fob from which to suspend them when worn. (a) pin of the Second Class of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, small round silver pin with white enamel arms radiating from a round blue enamel silver bordered centre with a small silver scallop edged circle in the middle. A chain of red enamel spots encircles the central portion of the pin, two sharp bent prongs and two small rings soldered to the back of the pin, with a separate ring through the top for suspending. (b) pin of the Third Class of the Order of the Rising Sun, small gold pin with a white enameled starburst radiating from a solid round red enamel centre bordered in gold. Hangs from small flower pendant with three green enamel leaves and three enamel purple blossoms, the whole is suspended from a white bow with red borders attached through a stud button. This pin is contained in a square brown leather jewellery case (bb) with hinged lid lined in white velvet and satin. - Black and red two section fibreglas fishing rod. Section (a) is 105.0 cm long. Section (b) is 138.5 cm long. Section (a) has a cork butt grip and foregrip. The pole mount section is metal. The guides for the lock ring are 6.0 cm long with a Phillips screw securing it. The reel seat is mooth and the silver paint worn off. This section of the pole contains only 54.0 cm of the butt section which is black fibreglas. There is one female ferrule mounted at the end and made of metal. Section (b) has a small (3.4 cm) male ferrule. 2.3 cm from this is a large guide measuring 4.3 cm in dia. It differs from the other guides in that it is one piece. It has two extended legs 5.5 cm long which curve inward from the double looped guide. The remaining three guides descent in size from 2.0 to.7 cm in dia. The top ring and guides are all attached with winding that has been glued and painted red.
