Deborah (Debbie) Downing is the daughter of Henry and Elsie Wiebe, who owned the Alpine Motel in Banff. Henry ("Hank") and Elsie ("Honey") came to Banff in 1942 and raised Debbie and two siblings there (including younger brother David).

One image depicts 5 unidentified women outside of the Alpine Motel who were described by donor as students from Three Hills College (now Prairie College in Three Hills, AB), who worked as summer cleaners.
