Description: Personnel list, a detailed outline of the route of the expedition. Detailed trip description, including food calculations, weather conditions, the mood of the trip. Included are personal and communal equipment lists. Report ends with recommendation of the development of a high level ski route in the area, including the improvement and creation of trails. Phys. Description: 8 1/2 x 11 paper contained in duotang, 23 pages of report, EC. Map attached and folded showing the route of the 1960 Icefields Expedition, MC. 2 Title: Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Société Radio-Canada (Manila envelope) Cont. Description: 20 photocopies and three originals of letters dated Jan 26-Feb 5, 1965 regarding the program “Wall of Ice.” Most writers comment on the music. A CBC Transmittal Form states “we’ve received approx. 35 letters suggesting the “wall of Ice appear on Hrond Page (?) Description: Correspondence regarding preparation, purchasing and donation of supplies for expedition(s?). Majority of the letters are between Hans Gmoser and Pat Boswell. The letters discuss selling the film to CBC, promotional CBC appearances by Gmoser, and financial agreements. Later letters regard exchange of slides with others on the trip, and preparation for the CBC production. Letters date from September 1959-February 1964. Two contracts, one signed, one unsigned for the film rights to CBC for the “ The First Ascent of the North Wall of Mount McKinley.”Payment information from Weekend Magazine Montreal. Lists of climbing equipment, receipts, scripts for the film, introduction drafts for the Canadian IceFields Expedition 1960, a map of the mountain, 1963 Canadian Mount McKinley Expedition income and expenses sheet. In side pocket: Letter to Hans Gmoser from P. A. Boswell, January 5, 1960- Describes an argument between Harry Dempster and Peter Bennett. (Is this the letter mentioned by Steph Boswell on the post it note attached to her papers. Phys. Description: Loose papers in an orange file folder. Majority of the papers are EC, with a small selection creased, in MC. 8 Title: Scrapbook (Brown, scuffed front page) Cont. Description: Newspaper clippings and photographs from articles in which Pat Boswell appears. Including trips at Assiniboine 1953, and the 1954 Canadian Icefields Ski expedition. The articles cover prior to the trip, and the return of the skiers after poor weather. February 7, 1953-April 14, 1954. Phys. Description: 1 large brown scrapbook, loose pages, PC.
