- A collection of 33 campaign buttons most from the period of the First World War, including 9 plain with facial portraits. 8 with facial portraits and a band of red, white and blue stripes surrounding. 2 with the design of the British flag. 9 with various flags depicted 2 with battleships, plus three odd Canadian buttons. (a) portrait James Riley, smaller button with three quarters portrait of man wearing pince nez glasses and "James Whitcomb Riley" in script beneath, mfg: The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newmark, N.J. (b) Asquith portrait, full face portrait of man with "The Rt. Hon. H.H. Asquith" printed around edge. (c) Kitchener portrait, full face portrait of man with centre part in hair and large walrus mustache with "Lord Kitchener" printed beneath, mfg: The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Toronto, Ont. (d) Jellicoe portrait, full face of man wearing cocked hat and high collared uniform with "Sir J.R. Jellicos" printed beneath. Marks: on d, pencilled on back "TR GO" mfg: Whitehead & Hoag. Toronto. (h) Field Marshall French portrait with colours, three quarter portrait of neatly mustached man in flat military cap with "Field Marshall Sir John French" printed around, and coloured edge band of British flag stripes, mfg: Whitehead & Hoag, Toronto. (i ) British flag, coloured picture of British flag flying, with "Shoulder to shoulder" printed around top. (j) British and Canadian flags, coloured picture of British flag crossed with Canadian flag, printed with "One for all All for one". (k) four flags, coloured picture of four flags in a row, the British, Canadian French, and a solid green flag with a white upside down "4" seemingly, symbol, and "United we stand" printed at edge. (1) blue flag, picture of blue flag on flagstaff. British flag canton in upper corner, and red diamond emblem in lower corner diagonally. "Straits Settlements" printed around bottom, mfg:Ehrman Co., Boston. (m)white flag, picture of flag on flagpole, narrow yellow border, and three castle turrets at centre. (o) maple leaf, coloured, life like maple leaf on white background.(p) safe, coloured picture of large, black floor safe framed by draped curtain made of Canadian Flag, with "Made in Canada for 60 years printed below, and J.J. Taylor Toronto Safe Works" lettered on safe, mfg: Thos. Wibby, Toronto. (q) flower branch, coloured picture of bird perched on blossoming limb, with "I will instruct Thee and teach Thee" printed in old English script at middle, mfg: Hammond Publishing Co., Milwaukee, Wis. - Two miniature, enamelled, light blue books with photographs inside. Books of brass with scrolled design cast into back cover, each different. Front cover enamel cloisonne around words describing the region photographed. Large hinge on left, and small ring latch on right to allow book to open, small, rigid loop at top of back cover for hanging from bracelet. Inside are two brass pages with sepia coloured photographs glued to each side, as well as to the inside covers, six photos each. (a) "Canadian Rockies" photos of Banff Springs Hotel, Lake Louise, Mount Stephen, Emerald Lake, Great Glacier, and Hell's Gate. (b) "Bath" Abbey, exterior. Abbey, interior , Roman Baths, town square, River, Municiptal Bdgs. Loose ring in rigid ring at top.

(a) button, round campaign type button with ribbon hanging at the bottom printed with "West Kirby Celebration". Button depicts coloured representation of royal coat-of arms at middle flanked by the letters "G" and "R", with a red rose beneath, blue and white band around outside, "Coronation of George V & Queen Mary June 1911. Long live the King” (b) medal, round, grey metal, hanging from striped ribbon with pin at top, front contains profile portrait of king and queen with "H.M. George V. R & I H.M. Mary, Queen" around edge. Obverse has coat-of-arms of castle at centre with "1911" above, and "W.T. Patrick, J.P. Mayor" below, band around edge, "Guilford commemorates their coronation".
