- A small, brightly coloured, lidded basket of split root and bark in a cylindrical shape. Natural yellow coloured background with purple band around middle containing a bright yellow zig-zag line. Base is natural brown in simple basket weave at centre with each piece of cedar split where the base of the basket turns to form sides and then worked in birdcage technique of weaving where a coil is laid inside this frame of split cedar and the individual pieces of cedar are tied in to each of the coils by a series of twined stitches.

Cord extends from a hole on either extremity of segments rim edges, through to attach itself to the ivory netsuke. Netsuke is woman supporting small child on her back at left shoulder, woman wearing kimono, obi and getas. Signature on woman's right leg. Cord hole found on woman's left hip. Round filigree brass button slides on cord between netsuke and inro. Lacquer design on inro is landscape with birds on one side. Obverse is harbour scene with lighthouse boats and full moon, all in gold and black lacquer.

On one face of case gold ground, mask and fan and a black lacquer bundle. Obverse has gold ground including sashes and black mask and gold and black striped cap. Embossed signature on bottom of inro. Toggle of brass filigree between inro and netsuke acts as a slide to tighten cord. Netsuke is an elderly, stooped man with long beard, wearing a mask. Mask and feet made of ivory but right foot is missing. Kimono gold and orange lacquer with hood of gold and black lacquer stripes. Ivory head loosening.

(w) 5.5 x 6.5 East-Asian type basket with extra exterior ribs added forming square base, diagonal weft at bottom over flat ribs with band of closely woven wicker type weft at top and wooden rings supporting round opening at top. (x) 5. x 5. shallow round bottomed basket with sturdy handle, rib structure radiates fan like from the bottoms of the handle to form the basket with the weft running from side to side across, rather than around, sturdy hoop at rim fastened at right angles to hoop forming handle.(y) 9.5 x 7.5 x 4. tall oblong basket with loop handle on either side , openwork sides bound together with three rows of twined stitching, band at base and top thickly closely twined.

Ornately carved balcony across at second storey, and balcony at first storey with staircase at either side leading to platform base, two lengths of picket fence stand in front, one missing, slanted roof covered with small U-shaped wooden blocks. Roof lifts on hinges to reveal small open box inside lined with purple paper, containing silver ice axe pin and carved wood purple gentian pin. (b) 6.4hx8.6wx6.8d, simply carved dark brown wooden log structure chalet with suggestion of shallow shed on right side, slanted roof covered with four small wooden blocks. Slot carved through roof parallel to ridgepole allows chalet to be used as bank, coins are released from under shed at side. (c) 2.4h, very tiny simple chalet of two storeys with lower smaller then upper, balcony across front and window with green shutters. Window panes represented by a piece of netting backed with a mirror, simple representation of staircase on right side, three small round black circles on roof.

- Smooth, rounded netsuke carved from medium brown hardwood. Snail emerging from rounded, coiled shell. Cord passage hole created by gap between snail foot and shell. Carved signature within rectangle near base of netsuke. Large crack in netsuke and one of large snail antennae is broken off in a large section and is missing. Crack possibly caused by humidity changes or damage.

- Land turtle sitting atop clam-like shell. He is facing the hinged part of the mollusk and his rear left foot is caught at the toes, in the crack in the shell. He has an unhappy expression on face and there is a flat, circular platform on top of his head, may be a damaged chip. The mollusk hinge is very crude and appears to have been broken away, there are two circles on either side of hinge where the wood is missing. Turtle is dark hardwood, shell is black lacquered wood.
