- Rattle carved from burled piece of wood. Top burl has been hollowed and filled with small pebbles? and capped with a round flat slice of bone. Top burl has been stained yellow on front with picture of flying eagle, and green on back with drawing of dog's head. Small cast figures of two deer caught beneath cord on either side of handle. Metal band at base of handle with relief of gilded figure in reed boat. Rectangular sword guard with cast relief of chrysanthemums and butterfly with holes cut through each side to accommodate small dirk handle. (b) dirk, steel bladed with copper handle with relief casting of brass dragon on one side. (c) scabbard, slightly curved wood covered with black enamel containing green flecks, blunt end, top of scabbard has slot on one side leading to pocket in scabbard to accommodate small dirk. Opposite side from slot has semi-circular horn ? lug threaded with a length of black silk cord. This section features the left portion of the house and many high spruce trees in the background. The third and forth panels are also the full height of a door and continue to depict the rest of the house and some trees in the mid ground and in the distance. This grass area is a continuation from the first panel and accross all three in between. The sky is a orange and yellow colour and the highlights on the house and trees etc. are all yellow.
