- Detailed sketch of the 1947 Christmas card. Catharine is in her home serving the animals some kind of food from the Dutch door. On the top section of the drawing it reads “SEASONS GREETINGS” and in the BLC of the sketch “CATHARINE AND PETER.” In the BRC of the sketch you can see the faint signature of Peter, and the year writen as “’47.”

Hill is scattered with skiers that have fallen. A house or cabin peeks over the hill to the right in the background. The woman leaves a curving line in the snow down the hill. The right side is a more final version in ink with more details. “Greetings 1949” printed in BRC.
