Description
A paper album containing artworks done in ink, pencil and watercolour (?). The album is primarly made up of a brown marbled pattern, with red leather (?) or tape (?) on the spine and corners. Pages contain artworks of flora and fauna, including birds, butterflies, flowers, plants and landscape scenes, both in colour and in black and white. Description
A blue and white bird sitting on a branch. The bird has blue head, back and tail, a very long tail. Head has a plume, breast and underside of tail and tops are white. Long trailing brown branches have pink blossoms and blue leaves. Writing down left side and center bottom with chop. The background is pale yellow fading to white at bottom. The paper appears to be handmade, irregular and with small holes. A hole 1.0x0.5 centre area, has been repaired probably before the print was made.

Based on other items in the collection, it can be inferred that this was created during the artist’s time at the Washington Boarding School.
