Description
The base of this trophy is made from wood. The shape of the base is rectangular with one large wood plaque on the front that reads “Catharine Whyte Memorial Trophy, 1906 - 1979” directly under this are five smaller shield shaped plaques. Standing on top of the base and made out of bronze is a male skier. This male skier is leaning against his skies with one arm wrapped around them . In the other hand, that is placed close to his hip, he holds both ski poles. This man is wearing short pants, a jacket and a peaked cap.

A detailed anatomy drawing of a male figure from the neck down found inside a folded portfolio. The drawing is focusing structure of the muscles in the body. The model has their left hand raised above his head. Below the work is says “School of Leonardo”. Beside the drawing to the left there is two lines of pencil running down the height of the portfolio, near one of the folds. On the left fold there is a Christmas tag that has two dogs, a woman in a blue dress, with a snowy scene behind them. On the tag it reads “From Gwen with love To Catharine + Pete I’m appallingly late!
