She has a patterned kimono with red in pattern and lining, wearing blue thongs, hair piled high with a red tie dyed scarf, china face. Open mouth show white teeth, china hands. Many and varied insect boxes displayed, very finely crafted, all secured to framework. The black boxes are for displaying fireflies. The shopkeeper is also secured to the display. He is sitting on the floor, yoga position, open hands, extended. Items for sale: 1 big woven chicken coop, 2 medium sized chicken coops, 1 big woven basket with one end open for chaffiing, 1 medium sized flat sparrow coop, 3 smaller flat sparrow coops, several carrying baskets, sieves of various gratings, various wooden dustpans, 1 fish basket, 3 hand brushes, scrub brushes. The shopkeeper was probably a basket weaver as well.

- Japanese food storage cupboard. Rectangular shaped cupboard, solid wood back and top with wood grid sides and front. Wooden grid sides are immovable, 7.1h x 4.5w, and has wooden frame, 0.5w. Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. The left handed one is set lower then the other, 3.2 from bottom, flush to the left side grid. The right handed one is set higher then the other, 6.0 from the bottom, flush to the right side grid.

(d) Image of Japanese woman, upper right, looking left toward male who wields a fan in his right hand, the mirror is a part of fan. (e) image of two Japanese women bottom left, faces in 3/4 profile, man wearing helmet upper right. Half moon shaped mirror upper left. (f) Japanese woman lower left, in 3/4 profile. Man in upper right looking down. Mirror in upper left corner in shape of lantern. (g) Small round fan with scene painted on both sides. One side, similar to (a-d) shows male Japanese figure looking right toward female figure, upperight. Small mirror hangs on stand, upper right center. On reverse is red circle with blue, white, and purple cloud like background above yellow fan shape. . Green calligraphy, left center, framed by three consecutive frames. (h) small round fan with scene painted on both sides. On front is similar design to (b) with male figure looking up towards female figure. Round mirror. Same design on back as (g). (i) small round fan with small square mirror and man in lower left corner looking up at woman.

- Japanese ironmonger shop, fully furnished. Wooden base 3.2 high forms floor, display area centre of floor, 19.0 x 16.5 x 10.6. 3 horizontal poles attached to both sides of the display shelf. Display area has green covered steps, black wall with items hung on it, small wooden shelf for more display. Shopkeeper, man dressed in brown grey kimono, brown apron, yellow fabric stuffed in front, is kneeling on the floor. Head is partly shaved with along top knot. Fine china face and hands, hands on lap. Items for sale: various kinds of cooking knives, scissors, teapots, cauldrons, rice cookers, basins, hoes, scythes, altar pieces for buddhism and shintoism worship, cooking stoves, fish broiling metal wire grills, shovels.
