Ribbon ends hanging down as tails behind, and hat is lined with cream satin. Commercially manufactured.

A paper band is glued around her waist with Japanese writing: "Dollmaker - Eitoku-sai of Kyoto; Tokyo, Nihon-Bashi-Doli 10 store shops. Doll has sewn red silk long-sleeved underwear. - Japanese, stuffed drawstring bag "Page Boy". A red drawstring bag stuffed with cotton is the body, 2 corners each side sewn together at tops to simulate arms and legs. Long green and white string tie pulls the bag together in front. A long black hat, nightcap style, fits snugly on a round fabric head, no features. A white band goes around the head with a bow at the back. Purple lined open long jacket is gold coloured patterned silk. Length and weight of the jacket enables the doll to sit upright.
