Description
(a) Hand thrown, flat footed bowl with deep turquoise glaze with black floral slip pattern, glaze crackled, firing marks remain in bowl.The following were found within the bowl and were bought by Catharine on a trip to Afghanistan: (b) polished blue and black stone (1.0 cm x 3.6 cm).(c) polished grey and brown stone (0.5 cm x 4.0 cm).(d) polished blue stone (0.8 cm x 3.4 cm)(e) polished brown stone (1.0 cm x 3.3 cm)(f) polished brown and white stone (1.5 cm x 3.5 cm) with small holes through which you can see crystals inside.(g) clear polished plastic or sea glass (0.4 cm x 1.7cm). There is a paint-like substance on one side and one end of the object is yellowed. (h) brass-coloured coin (0.2 cm x 1.5 cm). The relief on one side of the coin has been rubbed off significantly and there is a deep gouge on the back.(i) silver-coloured coin (0.3 cm x 1.7 cm). The relief on both sides of the coin has rubbed off significantly and there is a gold-coloured deposit near one edge.
