- Description
- A pair of round shallow dishes set on tall pedestals. The dishes have a bold coloured border around the rim with a series of raised relief gold dots forming a band . The centre of each plate is decorated with a sheaf of leaves, grasses and flowers. Each pedestal is a column with acanthus leaves around the top with two sculpted figures playing about the column. The column rests on a large round base, with three feet curving under, and repeats the design of plate border. Both of the plates are marked with Royal Worcester hallmarks.a) A standing cherub holding a cloth scarf is facing outward and looking down at a seated cherub that is holding a cup on the other side of the pedestal.b) A standing cherub is peeking around the pedestal at a crawling cherub.

- An irregularly oval- shaped serving platter with the shape forming a handle at each end. The tray is white with a double gold band outlining the perimeter and two sprays of flowers spaced evenly at each side. A small garland of flowers is at each end and a spray of flowers rests in the centre of the platter. A leaf-like scroll pattern which decorates the handles are accented in gold. The bottom of the platter is slightly elevated. The platter is marked “Davenport, Longport, Staffordshire”.
