The back of the pin has a maker’s mark and “STERLING.” The pin has a screw-on backing with teeth.

Stamped on bottom a cross hatched pattern with letter "B" within circle, possibly an "R" as well. Stamped in centre of base is "5". Base dented, bottom is dove-tailed to the body.
