The inside has a white net polyester lining sewn down with royal blue strips of polyester fabric and a hard piece of plastic on the inside forehead to support the patch in front. There is machine-embroidered felt-like blue patch (8.8 x 6.5cm wide) heat-applied on the front. Written on the patch in white lettering “HUSKY”, underneath and to the viewer’s right, in dark yellow lettering “World Downhill 1987”, below that an image of a ski racer in a downhill racing crouch position with a red maple leaf behind; below the skier, viewer’s right, in yellow “PREVIEW 88” and then “NAKISKA” in white. - A flat-based, straight-sided birchbark box with smooth, flush, overfitting lid. Walls decorated with pink and white porcupine quills, and walls of lid similarly decorated. The top of the lid is decorated with an overlapped pattern of brown and white quills in a floral motif, with "stamens" of green quills bursting from the centre. About 5% of the quills are loose at one end, some quills lost. Thread which binds grass to rim of lid has frayed severely. Box contains six quartz crystals.
