- A brown leather covered trunk with a curved lid. The trunk has wooden reinforcing strips around the front, the sides, and across the top, and metal reinforcing at the corners and edges. There are two leather strap handles, one per side. The trunk fastens shut with two snap latches and a central circular latch. The inside of the trunk is lined with fabric. Inside lid there is a built-in compartment on the left side. The compartment has a small red pocket on the cover. The side of the case in marked with the initials “H.F.M.”.
