- Wooden picture frame carved from a fruit crate. Trapezoidal in shape with rounded top and pointed bottom corners. Dark brown stained border 1cm thick around the edge. 1 light coloured 5 pointed (maple?) leaf on each corner plus 2 at bottom center and a group of 3 with 1 inverted at top center, all extending past border. 2 rectangular portrait picture windows cut out with dark stained border 0.5cm thick around edge. Glass plate and photo inside each. Photo on the left is of a man standing with houses in background. Photo on the right is of a woman and a child standing in field with building in background. Woman is wearing a hat and a dress, holding the child’s hand and a purse in the other.Reverse side has paper label remnants from crate glued to back. A leather strap loop is nailed to the top, centered so loop extends past frame edge. The glass pane and photograph of each window is kept in place with two nails (one nailed into top edge, one nailed into bottom edge).
