Ten pieces of beadwork for an unfinished caparison set. Each piece has a yellow background, a black and orange triangle border, blue and orange chevrons, and green and orange diamonds with blue centres. a) Decorative headpiece (73.0 x 62.0 cm) with hide centre with diamond shaped cut-outs down the length. Beaded triangles, diamonds and chevrons are attached along the edges. There are two looped elastic attachments at the top and thong ties between the beadwork.b) Collar (96.5 x 15.0 cm) that is fabric backed and slightly pointed with bead and metal jingle bell fringe at the centre. There are two beaded diamonds attached along the top edge and hide ties at each end.c,d) Two diamond-shaped pieces of beadwork (25.0 x 14.0 cm), each with three thong ties and a slight variation in bead colour - red instead of orange.e,f,g) Three large diamond-shaped pieces of beadwork (50.5 x 24.5 cm; 49.0 x 24.5 cm; 48.0 x 24.0 cm) with remnants of red feathers on one tip of (f) and (g).h) Small beadstrip (20.0 x 4.0 cm) with ends finished with ribbon.i) Triangular beaded piece (19.2 x 19.0 cm) with a hide strap tied in a loop attached to the back. Additional bead decoration of three black and orange triangles. j) Flat, rectangular canvas bag (40.5 x 25.0 cm) with one side beaded with a variation of the motif (triangle and forked squares instead of chevrons). The bag has a hide strap at the top and fringe (17.0 cm long) along the bottom edge.
