- John Oliver Wheeler (b. 1925) is a geologist and scientist for the Geological Survey of Canada. Wheeler worked for the Geological Survey of Canada from 1952 to 1990. In his work for the Geological Survey of Canada Wheeler mapped the Cordillera from northern Washington to eastern Alaska. Wheeler was the General Editor of the Geology of Canada in the 1980s, and was President of the Geological Association of Canada from 1970-1971. In 2002 Wheeler was awarded the Massey Medal by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. In 2003 he was awarded the Logan Medal by the Geological Association of Canada. Wheeler holds an Honorary Doctorate of Science at the University of British Columbia.

- Liana Van der Bellen was born in Estonia and arrived in Montreal, Quebec, Canada as a displaced person in 1948.
- Van der Bellen worked as a chambermaid at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada from 1950 to 1951 and visited Mount Assiniboine Lodge and Sunburst Lake camp as a guest or helper during the years 1955-1960, 1963, 1965-1967 and 1969.
- Van der Bellen earned her B.L.S. in 1953 and worked as a cataloguer at McGill University in Montreal. From 1961 to 1973 Van der Bellen was a librarian, lecturer and associate professor at the library school at the Université de Montréal while continuing her studies in rare book librarianship at Columbia University in 1970-1971. In 1973, Van der Bellen was appointed Chief of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Division at the National Library of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario. Van der Bellen retired from the National Library in 1991.

- Maryalice Harvey Stewart, 1923-2001, was Director of the Archives of the Canadian Rockies (now Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies) at Banff, Alberta, Canada from 1965 to 1976. She continued to do historical projects and was known for her knowledge of Banff and Rocky Mountain history.

- Fonds consists of materials collected by, and pertaining to, Maryalice Harvey Stewart. Content includes daybooks, notebooks, correspondence and various notes collected by Maryalice during her time working as Director of the Archives of the Canadian Rockies (now the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies Archives and Special Collections); research materials pertaining to the town of Banff, the Brewster family and other local subjects; personal interest materials, including cassette recordings of documentaries and lectures; personal materials, including correspondence, photographs, Maryalice's birth certificate, certifications and awards, and sheet music; and other related materials. Fonds consists of the following series and sub-series:

- Pertains to the work of Illingworth Kerr, a Canadian western landscape painter. The exhibition and catalogue was intended to celebrate the extensive art career, and 80th birthday of Illingworth Kerr. In an effort to showcase the variety of Kerr’s artistic expression, the exhibition organizer’s divided Kerr’s work into the following categories; landscapes, animal studies, portraits, townscapes, abstracts and automatic paintings. The exhibition organizer, Maggie Callahan, shares a comprehsneive anlalysis of Kerr’s life as an artist and his work over his impressive 60 year career.
