Brevet 55236 Swiss pocket watch (a), with wooden base (b). The clock is metal, and is gold and silver in colour. The clock face is white, with black detailing and numbering (1-12) around the circumference. The arms of the clock are also black. Near the center of the face, just above the point of attachment for the clock arms, there is black text that reads “8 DAYS” - indicating that the watch operates with an eight-day movement, and so it will run for 8 days on a single wind.Directly under the “6” on the clock face, there is a knob with a rounded end that sticks out from the circular body of the clock. This knob is used to wind the clock. The back cover of the watch is attached via a hinge and can be lifted upwards, revealing the gears and mechanisms of the clock inside. Engraved into the inside of the back cover is the text: “SWISS 495858”; “37CA”. Engraved into a panel in the clock mechanisms is the text: “BREVET 55236”
