- A rust-coloured felt wool hat with a rounded crown (bowler style) and slightly turned up brim. There is a narrow green hat band (1.5cm wide) and the same green material sewn around the brim (2.5cm wide), and also a separate gold-coloured cord with two wool tassels on the ends. Part of the hat band, viewer’s left, is shaped as a bow and sewn down; the gold-coloured cord is also shaped as a bow and sewn over the hat band. Above the bow, slightly to the left, are two air holes (1.5cm apart, surrounded by orange painted metal) for ventilation, however, the opposite two ventilation holes, viewer’s right, are missing the metal covering. Inside there is a dark brown leather sweatband and printed on it ”SUPERIOR QUALITY” under that in script “King Hat” and printed below “INDUSTRIA PERUANA”.
