There is a silver pin attached to the front of the cap. It is a B.C. provincial coat-of -arms pin: the wapiti on the left, the heraldic lion on top, the Bighorn sheep on the right, the shield in the middle and the motto underneath “SPLENDOR SINE OCCASU”. On the back there is a spike and clutch (tie-tack) screw-on closure.
