Bulbous turned legs are linked by single cross stretchers, legs fit through holes bored through seat and sanded smooth. Seats are shaped so that front and back curve outward and sides curve inwards. Seats are slightly concave in middle, incised lines are carved around seats. Chairs have been painted and stripped at one time, remnants of old paint remain. They have been restained but different woods have taken on different hues. Seats are scarred with age and wear, the back seat of chair (a) appears to have broken off and been repaired at one time. "G. GAW" stamped on bottoms of seats (a) has remnant of sticker containing manufacturer's name and address (b) written on bottom "Musi.."
