A pink, bisqued china baby doll with painted glazed features, and wearing long christening gown and bonnet. Body of doll very realistic with moveable bent arms and legs held in place by a series of elastic strings passing through the body. Carefully made hand stitched dress is tucked at yoke and embroidered there and along hem with French knots and feather stitching, small close fitting bonnet embroidered in same manner, ties under chin. Dress and bonnet of fine muslin, petticoat of muslin over full white flannel slip with pink feather stitching at seam and hem.

Round wooden knob on door. Held together with small wooden pegs and glue. Door hinged in old manner by means of a dowel through the top and bottom edges, then through the wood above and below the door.

Marks: on base, "Made in Russia", "A3 g", "1.75" (b) 9.0 x 3.9 odia more simply decorated, unbearded figure wearing plain orange and yellow robes and blue hood with gold mitre on head, gold placket from chin to foot with white dots.
