- A pair of metal deadman/deadboy belay anchors with cables wrapped around. a) The large of the two anchors. It is shaped in a square with a pointed bottom. The cable is looped in these two smaller holes and joined with a metal band to create one cable that is wrapped around the anchor, it comes to another, smaller loop at the end - it is not attached to the anchor.
