- Ebenezer William (Bill) Peyto, 1868-1943, was a guide, outfitter, prospector and national park warden at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Peyto was prominent among the early trail guides of the Rockies, beginning a colourful career ca.1893. He led a number of mountaineers into climbing regions until ca.1910. Peyto served in both the Boer and First World Wars, worked a talc mine on the edge of Banff National Park and was a national park warden for over twenty years, retiring in 1937. Peyto Lake, Peyto Glacier, Peyto Peak and Trapper Peak were named in his honour.

- William Robert Roberge was born in 1927 in Banff, Alberta and attended Banff schools. Roberge served in both the Royal Canadian Navy and the British Navy during the Second World War. Married in 1948 to Margot Sorensen, they have one son, Michael Brian. Bill Roberge is a member of the Calgary Naval Veterans Association, the Naval Museum of Alberta Society, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, #26 Col. Moore Branch and in 1995, was awarded the Legion Meritorious Service Medal. Roberge has served on the branch executive and numerous committees of the legion. He is a long-time member of the Kinsmen Association, serving as president of the Banff Kinsmen Club and as deputy-governor of the Kinsmen Association's District #5.
- Bill Roberge served for six years on the Banff school board, three years as chairman. He served six years on the Banff Advisory Council, three years as chairman, and he served as trustee for two Banff Mineral Springs Hospital boards. In 1968, Roberge travelled to Rome as Banff's representative for the 1972 Winter Olympic Games for Canada bid. Since the town of Banff's incorporation, Roberge has served as councillor for two terms as well as holding membership on numerous committees each year.
- Roberge is a life member of the Banff Ski Runners of the Canadian Rockies.

- Bill Waterworth (1922-2009) was born on Marten Street in Mrs. Thomson's nursing home in Banff. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 18. On September 19, 1942, Waterworth was shot down over the French coast just short of completing his 33rd mission. Waterworth avoided capture by German patrols for two weeks before being captured and taken prisoner by the Gestapo. He was sent by boxcar to a Prisoner of War camp - Stalag VIIIB/344 - in Lamsdorf, Germany where he remained for three years.
- In 1946, Bill married Bernice "Bern" Wilson (d. 2003), who was a granddaughter of Tom Wilson. Together they had three children, Lynn, Bunty, and Christie.

- John Charles (Bo) Holroyd, 1889-1974, was a national park warden and rancher at Waterton Lakes National Park and Twin Butte, Alberta, Canada. Born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Holroyd moved to Pincher Creek, Alberta in 1907. In 1920, following careers in ranching near Pincher Creek and soldiering in France and Belgium, he was appointed to the civil service as a Park warden. He began his twenty-seven year warden career in District #3, Pass Creek, Waterton Lakes National Park. In 1933 he became Supervising Warden of the park and moved to Lower Waterton Lake. He managed the Warden Service in Waterton until his retirement in 1947. For a further twenty-seven years, Holroyd raised livestock.

- Robin Cyril (Bob) Hind, 1911-2000, was an electrical engineer and mountaineer at Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Hind was born on a farm in northern Alberta was educated at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. He was a Life Member of ACC, joining in 1933, and attended over 30 ACC camps, often with his family. Hind received the Silver Rope Award in 1935, was recipient of Centennial Medal, and served the ACC in offices of President, Vice-President and Chairman of Hut Committee.
- In 1948, Bob Hind married Margaret (Peggy) Trotter, a fellow mountaineer and skier. Together they had two children. After Peggy Hind was killed in an avalanche in 1955, Hind married Marjory Bugler, and the couple had three more children. Marjory (Marj) Hind was a homemaker and mountaineer.
- During his extensive mountaineering career, Bob Hind climbed most of the significant peaks in Rockies and Selkirks, including some first ascents. He also climbed in Wales and the Alps. Hind was active in the Calgary Tennis Club, the Boy Scout movement and was a member of the American Alpine Club and The Alpine Club, London. Bob Hind worked on electrical projects in Canada and Europe.

- Fonds consists of three series: I. Mountain travel and recreation, western Canada (A. Trips and activities, 1931-1992; B. General, between 1928 and 1960). II. Personal (A. Photography notes, 1938-1996; B. World travel, ca.1930-ca.1950; C. Personal photographs, 1927-ca.1955). III. Other, between ca.1925 and ca.1955.
- Series I consists of photographs, motion pictures and textual records pertaining to mountaineering, hiking, travel, Alpine Club of Canada camps and activities in western Canada by Bob Hind, Bob and Marj Hind, and the Hind family.
