White cotton, high necked long dress. Front yoke of lace, panel of lace each side to the waist. High necked lace collar with tiny ruffled net material around the top. Bodice alternates lace and fine pleated cotton. Inset band of same lace at waist. Long skirt alternates with 4 vertical lace panels 4.5 wide with cotton. One lace panel all around 6.0 above hem. Three quarter length puffed sleeves of white cotton with 2 bands of lace and 2 bands of pleats. Back is fastened to the hips with 16 hooks and sewn eyes. On each side of back opening there are tiny pleats and a band of lace which extends downwards 54.0 below waist, the 2 bands are then joined with a horizontal band which is 52.0 long.

The back of the gown is gathered between the shoulders with a square 'collar' at the yoke and a line of twisted cording down centre that buttons at the bottom of the yoke.
