Saddle a) is missing cinches and has no markings except a piece of adhesive tape on which is written “STEEL”. Saddle b) has several markings: “A4. HUNTER & Co. 1917” is stamped onto the wood, “JABEZ CLIFF & Co. WALSALL. 1917” is stamped on the leather of the underpad, and “AM B 27” is stamped on one leather strap.
