History / Biographical: Allyn K. Ford (1878-1964) was a businessman and collector in Minneapolis, Minnesota and a member of the Alpine Club of Canada from 1908 onwards. He was married to Emily Powell Ford (1886-1976) and had at least two daughters, Alice Carpenter Ford and Nancy (Ford) Dart. Nancy also became a member of the ACC in 1953.

Scope & Content: Fonds consists of motion picture titled "Canadian Rockies, 1930 Maligne Lake Camp, Mount Brazeau" and a scrapbook containing letters, brochures, maps, newsletters, and photographs pertaining to Allyn Ford and Nancy Dart's respective memberships with the Alpine Club of Canada, as well as a trip to Jasper in the mid-1950s.

History / Biographical: Mary Wright (Molly) Adams was born on 15 October 1868. in Ridgefield Connecticut. She was the third of five children born to Cornelia Ann Cook (1830-1902) and Daniel Lucius Adams (1814 - 1899) She died in Kobe, Japan on 23 January 1909 and was buried there.

Scope & Content: Fonds consists of textual records, postcards, drawings and one photograph album pertaining to Mary (Molly) Wright Adams (1868-1909); transcripts of Molly's original letters which were compiled by Molly's sister, Catharine Elkin (nee Adams) between ca.1939 and 1941; and transcriptions of letters sent between Molly's extended family members [including members of the Adams, Cook and Wright families], ca.1844 and 1866. Physical Description: 141 photographs : b&w slides ; 17.7 cm x 12.6 m

History / Biographical: Stereographs are photographs of the same subject taken from slightly different angles. These photos, displayed side by side in a stereoscope, would be viewed at close range, forcing the eye to overlay the two photos to create a 3D effect. Stereoscopes could be hand held or mounted to a table or other surface. Stereographs could be made with a single camera, moved slightly from the first image taken; specialized dual-lens cameras streamlined the process. Stereographs can be made with precious metals, glass, paper, and celluloid bases with any kind of photographic process.

Scope & Content: File consists of glass stereo transparencies depicting Grand Canyon scenic views, mountains, wildlife, and horse rides.
