The snow is quite yellow at the centre of the image but becomes shadowed and dark in the bottom right corner. A lower snow-capped cliff is in the lower left corner. It forms a pass between it and the cliff on the right. The sky is quite dark at the top of the image but quite cloudy and grey-yellow lower down at the centre of the image. The vantage point makes the viewer feel as if they are peering over the ledge of a cliff and that all that is visible is sky.
