Key stars in the film include Paul Newman (Buffalo Bill), Frank Kaquitts (Sitting Bull), Joel Grey (The Producer), and Kevin McCarthy (The Publicist). Other actors include Harvey Keitel, Allan F. Based on a real-life therapist who cared for a wheelchair-bound girl suffering with cerebral-palsy. The young, unresponsive patient is rehabilitated through correspondence with her favourite performer Elvis Presley. Location filming in Banff townsite and vicinity—Banff Springs Golf Course Clubhouse, Banff High School, and Lake Minnewanka road. A number of Banff teenagers were used in the movie as well as a group of special-needs students from Calgary.

History / Biographical: Comedy thriller "Silver Streak" (1976) was directed by Arthur Hiller and written by Colin Higgins. Parts of the filming took place in locations throughout Alberta, including Okotoks, Calgary, and Drumheller. The film largely takes place aboard a moving train, and the use of Canadian Pacific Railway for this purpose is likely how Nicholas Morant (Canadian Pacific's Special Photographer from 1930 - 1981) was able to take the photographs in this file.
