A husband loses his wife during their honeymoon at a U.S. Rocky Mountain resort town. After going to local authorities to initiate a search, the mystery deepens when a strange woman shows up claiming to be his wife. Location filming primarily around the Banff townsite, including the Banff Park Lodge, CIBC, various private residences on Buffalo Street, and Banff Avenue.

- Also known as "Arctic Rampage," directed by Peter Hunt in 1981 and starred Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, and Angie Dickinson. Loosely based on the true-life story of Albert Johnson (The Mad Trapper of Rat River) who was pursued by the Mounted Police in the Northwest Territories and Yukon after shooting a police constable in 1932. Filmed entirely in the Canmore/Spray Lakes area, apart from one scene at the Athabasca Glacier, Jasper National Park. "Death Hunt" was the first film to use Canmore and the Spray Valley as primary set locations, and many locals were recruited as extras. Additionally, dog teams were brought from throughout Alberta for Mad Trapper pursuit scenes on the Spray Lakes Reservoir. Mountaineer and Association of Canadian Mountain Guide Tim Auger stood in as a body double for Bronson for some scenes.

- "To Elvis With Love" also known as "Touched by Love," 1980, directed by Gus Trikonis and starring Deborah Raffin, Diane Lane, Michael Learned, Clu Gulager, and John Amos. Based on a real-life therapist who cared for a wheelchair-bound girl suffering with cerebral-palsy. The young, unresponsive patient is rehabilitated through correspondence with her favourite performer Elvis Presley. Location filming in Banff townsite and vicinity—Banff Springs Golf Course Clubhouse, Banff High School, and Lake Minnewanka road. A number of Banff teenagers were used in the movie as well as a group of special-needs students from Calgary.

Includes shots of the townsite, a ferry carrying cars across the river, a historic paddlewheel boat being repaired on shore, large-scale and small-scale gold panning, historic trains [possibly a museum], military graveyard, a local theatre play, and a parade. Reel 2 includes shots of a boat docking, street scenes [presumably Dawson City], and a train ride along the White Pass to Whitehorse - scenes here also include people getting on/off the train, scenic views from along the tracks, river boats, the interior of train cars, and arriving in Whitehorse. The Maycroft Ski Meet was an annual community event held on a hill near the Oldman River that operated as part of carnival events that tied with the crowning of a Carnival Queen at the Banff Winter Carnival. Participants were towed up the hill with a rope tow operated by a tractor. The Meets were eventually phased out following the openin of the (then named) West Castle Mountain Ski Hill in 1965.
